Cardo’s Pizza of Jackson, Ohio opened for business on Wednesday, November 8, 1989. The owner and operator, John Moore, is a 1986 graduate from Waverly High School and a 1989 graduate from The Ohio University School of Business. The original restaurant location was a 500 square foot building on Broadway Street which offered pick-up and delivery orders. In 1997 the business was moved to its current location at 19 W. South Street, the former Henry’s grocery store, a local landmark for many long time Jackson County residents.

Kali's was started by Tom and Janet Kalinoski in 1980. The business was purchased from the Kalinoskis by Brett and Beth (Vollborn) Lewis on May 24, 2019. Brett has two daughters, Carlee and Madi, who also help run the family owned business.
